I've had the Henschel Aussie Breezer hat for some time and I'm ready to share my thoughts on it.
Awhile back, I was on the hunt for an outdoor hat that is perfect for hiking or camping.
My main goal was to keep the sun out of my eyes and off my neck to avoid getting sunburned.
But there was a catch, I struggled to find a hat because my head is bigger than average.
I also wanted something that was completely vented for hot weather.
Finally I found this one and it works great.
How I Found the Aussie Breezer
I actually found this hat while walking through a gift shop at a national park.
When I tried it on, I was surprised that it actually fit.
So I immediately took out my phone and took a picture of the tag because I wanted to see what other types of hats they offered.
After some shopping around, I ended up getting this specific one off of eBay.

Why This Hat is Awesome
What I like the most about this hat is the mesh top and wide brim.
It allows a nice breeze to flow through, while protecting me from the sun.
While I love leather and felt hats, they are not practical out here in the desert, for most of the year.
I wear this hat with the brim curled up because I found that when I am hiking uphill or climbing, if the brim is down it blocks my vision and that is kind of annoying.
Now I understand why the Cowboys curl up their hats, it gives a better field of vision.
On really sunny days I put the brim down to block the maximum amount of sun.
This hat is made out of cotton and polyester, and is very comfortable.
Value and Sizing
The size I bought is a 2XL which was difficult for me to find with other hat companies.
The Aussie Breezer does go up to a 3XL so if you have a big head this is really good for you.
For the price you really cannot go wrong.
I paid about $50 for this one.
Comparable hats from other companies often run about $80 to $100, or more, so this is a good hat to check out if you are in the market for an outdoor hat.

My Personal Modifications
If you get this hat, here are the modifications I recommend.
The hat did come with a strap but it was hard plastic and not very comfortable. I think the newer hats come with leather straps, but mine did not.
It was okay and it did the job but I decided to take it off.
I wanted the new strap to be longer and more flexible.
So I cut a long piece of leather myself and installed it on the hat.
The original strap was annoying because when I wore the hat on my back when I was not using it it came up too short and would bang into my head.
My new longer one goes down to my back keeping it off the back of my neck which makes it a lot more comfortable.
I also put a small leather pad on the front of the inside of the hat to make it fit a little better. 
Final Thoughts
So if you have a big head and have been looking for a great outdoor hat, I would recommend checking this one out.
It has great ventilation and is perfect for hotter environments.
